What does the Green Bay School District have to offer?

  • The Green Bay School District has started a Head Start + 4 Year-Old Kindergarten program
  • They offer a Gifted and Talented program that I can personally vouch for.  The goal of the Gifted and Talented program is provide appropriate level of challenge so that they may continue to learn and grow.
  • The offer Grades PreK-12th Grade and have a total of 38 schools
  • Green Bay Schools offer strong music and drama departments
  • A major focus of Green Bay Schools is there athletics program
  • The English Language Learners program is currently helping a large portion of the Green Bay Student to learn English language skills.

My personal experience with the Green Bay School District

All the data above is all fine and dandy but it always helps to hear it from someone who’s been apart of the system.  I attended elementary, middle school, and high school all throughout the Green Bay School District.  The major thing that really sticks out to me when I think back to my school days is how involved all of the teachers in the Green Bay School District really were.   From a very early age I had teachers who really seemed take interest in seeing me succeeded.   The Green Bay School District offered me so many great learning options from culinary arts, orchestra, college prep classes and so much more.  I owe them a large debt of gratitude for my success today.

About The Giving Tree Program in Green Bay WI

The Green Bay Wisconsin Howard-Suamico School District had a great idea of starting a pantry within the Howard area. The program is based out of the Bay View Middle School and offers:

  • Food
  • Personal care items
  • School supplies
  • Winter apparel

They are currently operated as an emergency-use pantry only.   The pantry will be open the second Wednesday of every month, year round from 1-4 p.m.  freepantryPatrons of pantry will be required to register and meet criteria for pantry usage.

With the help of the Village of Howard and the people of this great community they are hoping that they will be able to extend this program to the rest of the community in the near future.

Helping the Giving Tree Program Green Bay, WI.

If you would like to help The Giving Tree Program you can do so in the following ways:

  • Sponsor a food drive at your place of employment, community organization, place of worship, etc.
  • Donate money to purchase food, personal care items, school supplies, winter apparel.
  • Donate food, personal care items, school supplies, winter apparel.
  • Sponsor a student’s school fees.
  • Volunteer to help operate The Giving Tree.
  • Learn more about poverty and how it affects your community.
